Certification Program Coordinator

The Certification Program Coordinator (CPC) is responsible for leading, implementing, and maintaining all IFM Certification Program (IFMCP) projects and activities. The CPC is expected to be a recognized specialist for the IFM Certification Program and to serve as a resource internally and externally for IFMCP related functions. In this role, the CPC will collaborate interdepartmentally with minimal guidance, interpret the needs and issues relevant to the role, and recommend appropriate solutions, standards, procedures, and best practices. This role requires a specialized depth and breadth of expertise of IFMCP with skills in project management, skills in organization, communication, and collaboration. Under the direction of the Medical Education Manager, this role includes the following essential functions:

  • Plans, implements, and evaluates IFMCP projects from initiation through completion – creates, maintains, and updates project objectives;
  • Manages complex projects and ensures project results meet requirements regarding quality, reliability, budget, and schedule – monitors project outcomes, ,  recommends changes, and process adjustments, , tracks and develops best practices and timelines for future projects;
  • Responsible for organizing and facilitating meetings with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Ability to facilitate effective collaboration across departments;
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on IFMCP related issues, acts as a liaison for IFM with IFMCP parties and representatives, clarifies needs and requirements;
  • Promotes and manages relationships through high quality verbal interactions and written communications with IFM Certified Practitioners, Candidates, Consultants, and other internal/external parties;
  • Collaborates within the department (especially with the other CPC) to coordinate, develop, plan, and implement clear written material, media, and web content;
  • Acts as a liaison for Medical Education Department with a professional degree of discernment, while in person, over the phone, and via electronic media;
  • Contributes to the overall planning, development, and implementation of the IFMCP strategic goal

Skills/Requirements

  • Must have demonstrated expertise with MS Office Suite; willingness and ability to adapt to new technologies and software;
  • Must be able to enact skillful dialogue, discussion, and inquiry, and be able to communicate large amounts of information into concise, actionable language over the phone, in person, and via electronic media – and across multiple geographical locations;
  • Must be able to both work independently and collaborate on planning, processes, goals, schedules, and outcomes;
  • Must be able to be self-directed with work activities, take initiative, assess current status, anticipate obstacles and challenges, and recommend changes and improvements;
  • Must be able to make decisions guided by policies, procedures, and business plans, and to inquire for clarification as appropriate;
  • Must be able to receive guidance and oversight from Medical Education Manager;

Education, Licenses, Certificates:

  • 2+ years managing projects or an equivalent combination of education and experience necessary to perform the job required;
  • BA/BS Preferred.
