Javier Galvis Chacón, MD, is a physician who graduated from Universidad del Norte, Barranquilla – Colombia, also with an internal medicine specialty from Colegio Mayor Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá-Colombia, with 19 years of experience, 11 of them in functional medicine.   
 
His clinical experience includes multidisciplinary and integrative approaches in a hospital setting, private practice, and consultations with other physicians dealing with complex chronic disease patients. Dr. Chacón was the first Latin American physician to achieve the IFMCP certification in 2013. He is the scientific leader of Nutrabiotics, a leading nutraceutical and pharmaceutical company in several Latin American countries.   
 
Dr. Chacón has been heavily involved with continuing medical education in the Spanish language. He is the director of the diplomate program of functional medicine and naturopathy in FUCS university, with special training in advanced functional laboratory evaluation, and participated in the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine preceptorship program. He is currently pursuing the ADAPT certification at Kresser Institute. He is the founder of CLAM (Latin American Center for the Advancement of Medicine), a functional medicine clinic located in Bogotá, Colombia, dedicated to empowering and supporting patients in their healing process and positively influencing the scientific community toward a systemic approach to diseases.
