Dr. Vivian Asamoah is a board-certified gastroenterologist, hepatologist, and nutrition expert-dedicated to integrative and functional medicine. She graduated from the University of Geneva and completed her residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and Johns Hopkins Hospital.

As CEO of Houston Gastro Institute, Dr. Asamoah has over 15 years of experience serving the west Houston community. She combines cutting-edge conventional medicine with holistic practices to deliver comprehensive care, emphasizing the treatment of the whole person by addressing the mind, body, and spirit. Her approach incorporates the latest research in microbiome science and gut-brain axis disorders.

As an educator, Dr. Asamoah shares her extensive knowledge on gastrointestinal disorders, microbiome imbalances, food intolerances, and functional dyspepsia. Her practice offers a variety of wellness services, including nutritional therapy, specialized testing, IV nutrient therapy, infrared sauna, and therapeutic massage.
