What Is the IFM Mentorship Program?
The Functional Medicine Mentorship Program is an opportunity for clinicians to review cases with an experienced Functional Medicine mentor and discuss patient care strategies among peers. With the current pandemic, patient needs are evolving, and mentorship can help guide your clinical approach to complex cases. These sessions help clinicians leverage Functional Medicine principles to improve the health resilience of their patient populations and may include a review of the IFM Timeline and Matrix tools, discussion of assessment/diagnostics, and therapeutic management of your case.
- Mentorship is through online cohort sessions with three to seven total group members and a mentor. Each group is topic-specific and focuses on cases within that scope.
- IFM mentors are IFM Certified Practitioners (IFMCP) and faculty who have years of experience teaching, mentoring, and practicing the Functional Medicine Model.
- There are a total of eight sessions in the program, each lasting 75 minutes; sessions are conducted virtually through the Zoom Meeting platform.
