IFM’s AFMCP – Everything You Need to Know
We have been staying on top of the latest developments happening as they relate to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak.
We empathize deeply with those who have been affected in any way by the coronavirus and are committed to making responsible decisions for your health and well-being.
To that end, as of this afternoon, we have decided to cancel Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP) scheduled for March 9-13 in Charleston, South Carolina.
Our north star for making all decisions is focusing on the health of our staff, faculty, and each of you as our first priority. While risk may still be small, we take the burden of care very seriously and are committed both to putting no one in harm’s way and providing you with reasonable options to the program content.
A few things to consider in your decision-making about which approach is the right one for you:
- Shift to AFMCP Online: You are eligible to shift your registration free of charge to the online AFMCP beginning May 4, 2020.
- Shift to another onsite AFMCP: You may shift your registration to the AFMCP Austin, Texas in September 21-25 in at no charge.
- Add yourself to the Charleston re-schedule list: We are trying to re-schedule the conference at the same location later in the fall (post-Austin program).
- If you are unable to reschedule to one of these possible options, you may request a full refund via this form.
Some things to consider:
Hotel
If your hotel reservations are in the Belmond Charleston Place Hotel, cancellations made 72 hours in advance of the reservation are fully refundable. This would mean 4pm ET/ 1pm PT on March 5th. Please contact the hotel immediately to secure a refund at 800-831-3490.
Airline
If you were scheduled to fly to South Carolina, we encourage you to contact your airline and request a refund. Many airlines are offering refunds and/or no change fees.
We truly appreciate all of you and are committed to creating a positive program experience. We thank you in advance for your understanding during this challenging time. Please continue to take precautions to protect yourself and your family.
We remain grateful for your interest in Functional Medicine and we look forward to serving you in the future.
