IFMCP 2015 Graduates

For Immediate Release

May 19, 2015

Federal Way, WAThe Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) is proud to announce the graduation of 113 IFM Certified Practitioners (IFMCP) in 2015. IFMCP graduates are uniquely trained in the Functional Medicine model to identify and treat the root causes of chronic disease. Functional Medicine not only incorporates the latest research in science and systems biology, but it also enables healthcare practitioners to practice proactive, predictive, personalized medicine while empowering patients to take an active role in their own health.

In order to achieve the designation of IFM Certified Practitioner, candidates must complete seven training seminars and pass stringent written and case study evaluations.

“This certification designation will contribute to supporting the vision we all share as we continue to work together to advance client-centered health care and shift the way we educate healthcare professionals,” one 2015 graduate states.

Another graduate adds, “The training is already making a significant impact on my evaluations and assessments of the patients and clients that I see in my clinical and medico-legal practice.”

IFM’s Director of Medical Education Dan Lukaczer, ND, remarked, “We receive over 48,000 hits on our website monthly requesting information on where to find a well-trained Functional Medicine practitioner. With this, our third graduating class, we now have over 300 practitioners that we are confident will be able to meet this increased demand.”

IFM Certified Practitioners can be found listed in the Find A Practitioner database on the IFM website. All IFMCP graduates were honored at IFM’s 2015 Annual International Conference held May 28-30, 2015, in Austin, TX.
