Michelle Harreld

Michelle oversees the development of educational resource content, the implementation of standards across the organization, and the support of functional medicine–related research activities in the field. She is a strengths-based leader and systems thinker with 15 years of experience in health care and social services. She brings a broad background and diverse skillset to her position, including individual and group education and service delivery, research coordination and data auditing, policy and program advocacy, and community and nonprofit leadership. Michelle holds a BS in psychology and an MS in nutrition.

Michelle lives in Iowa City, Iowa, with her partner, Chad, and their Boston Bulldog named Jude. When not at IFM, Michelle enjoys quality time with loved ones, live music, local food scenes, and reading nonfiction—especially while in the passenger seat on the way to another adventure with her family.
