Paul Dieppe, MD

Paul Dieppe, MD, is currently emeritus professor of health and well-being at the University of Exeter Medical School in England. He is a doctor who specialised in rheumatology before moving into public health and health services research. His previous appointments have included a spell as dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Bristol, UK, and director of the Medical Research Council’s Health Services Research Collaboration. His main research interests are osteoarthritis, the placebo and nocebo effects, and healing, and he has published extensively in each of these areas.
