Resident and Medical Student Tuition Program

IFM’s resident and medical student tuition and membership program is available to residents and medical students enrolled in a qualified program. For a list of qualified programs, see below.

Approved residents and medical students will be eligible to receive $100 off IFM membership and a reduced tuition discount on programs in IFM’s Certification Program (IFMCP). These programs include Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP) and the six Advanced Practice Modules (APMs).

Approved residents and medical students can register for any future, qualified program within twelve months of application approval. No other discounts are applicable with this rate (i.e., membership discount, conference discounts, etc.).

Eligibility Requirements

You must be a resident or medical student. The following qualified programs are likely eligible:

Commonly Eligibile Degrees for IFM Certification Program and Student Discounts

CNS degrees: to be eligible, candidates must:

  • Be registered in an ACNPE-accredited program or in a program that meets eligibility requirements for the CNS Credential.
  • Provide a letter of intent stating intent outlining the exam date you intend to sit for. Exam information can be found on BCNS’s website.

International Nutrition Student Qualifications
International nutrition sciences students need to be enrolled in an Advanced Diploma qualified program in Nutritional Therapy, enrolled in a qualified bachelor’s program that leads to Nutritionist or Dietitian degree or enrolled in a master’s leading to nutrition practitioner degree.

Application Process

Residents and medical students can apply for this program online by filling out the application form below. Proof of enrollment that clearly states student status and includes the expected program end date must be provided. Approved applicants will be approved for one year (12 months) from the date of acceptance into the program.
