From the practitioner: About My Practice
We are a growing Functional Medicine Practice founded by Dr. Lori Zettel MD 4 years ago. I have been in Practice with her almost 2 years now, and an Institute For Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner.
We practice Holistic care and "root cause medicine". We are Lyme's literate Physicians and approximately half of our patient have LYMES+ or Tick/Vector born stealth infectious disease imbalance and coinfections. We specialize in finding the root cause of functional biology imbalances, and, by addressing these imbalances, restore our patients back to health. We start where Conventional medicine ends. We look at a "diagnosis" and then work back to discover what the root cause of this was. To heal the patient, we address the root cause.
From the practitioner: What Patients Can Expect
Patients can expect an entirely different approach to seeking health and wellness. With working with a Functional Medicine Specialist, our patients join into a "team" venture and informed health care. We work together closely to uncover and identify all root cause imbalances so the patient can have their health and function restored.
We look at Medicine through an entirely different lens than conventional practice. We care about "diagnosis" only from the standpoint as it being a place to start. We look for signs and symptoms of organ system dysfunction as a means to approach restoring health. Instead of treating "Diabetes" with "pills or Insulin", we look for what caused the sugar control to become dysregulated, then address that cause.
