Information for Patients

From the practitioner: About My Practice

I have a Master’s of Science in Nutrition and Functional Medicine, and have earned the highest certification as a Certified Nutrition Specialist® practitioner. I practiced at a large integrative clinic, under the mentorship of renowned functional medicine physician Joseph McWherter, MD, before opening my own practice. We see all types of clients, though a majority are women ages 20-70. We especially enjoy working with gut health, autoimmunity, fatigue, thyroid, diabetes, and solving weight loss resistance. Our practice is a no-judgement zone. All of us at the practice have worked through our own health issues, so we often know what our clients are going through.

From the practitioner: What Patients Can Expect

While we have certain guidelines we follow depending on the client's conditions that we have seen work very well, all interventions are customized to the client's preferences, goals, biochemistry, and stage of readiness. We believe the best way to solve problems in the long-term is to listen intently and empower with education. We use questionnaires, laboratory testing, and listening to our clients’ stories to reveal their underlying dysfunctions, then use coaching, education, and evidence-based treatment plans to correct the imbalances and allow the body to thrive. We usually start with a 90min evaluation, then have 50 minute follow-ups every 3-4 weeks with until goals are met.
