From the practitioner: About My Practice

Leah Geoghegan AGNP-C IFMCP is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner and Founder of Emergence Health. She received her undergraduate degree from UPenn and her master's degree from NYU’s world-renowned Adult Primary and Holistic Care programs.

Emergence Health is a primary care and functional medicine practice with a mission to reverse and prevent chronic illness through personalized care. Emergence Health approaches care differently, combining the best of conventional and functional medicine--an approach to health care that looks at how the systems of your body work to identify and treat the root cause of disease. Leah dedicates the time and attention necessary to promote your long-term health by bringing the focus of care back to you.

As a patient of Emergence Health, you will be fully listened to with respect, treated as an individual with unique wants and needs, and have your feelings and perspective acknowledged. By listening to the body and celebrating each person’s individuality, we’re able to nurture a collaborative patient-provider relationship rooted in trust within a supportive community.

Helping people achieve this deep level of healing and transformation is my true calling and the reason I went into medicine in the first place. I look forward to sharing my knowledge of functional medicine with you to help you understand your own body and how we can balance its needs to restore your function--and with it your health and happiness.
