Information for Patients
From the practitioner: About My Practice
I am a repurposed, traditionally trained, family physician, now happily specializing in functional medicine, providing proactive, holistic health, involving deep diagnostic investigation for finding the root causes of disease, diet and lifestyle intervention, and natural approaches to healing chronic conditions.
I am particularly interested in salvaging brain fogged, under performing patients who are being dismissed by the conventional medicine system. Far too much human potential and happiness is being lost when patients are told they are “fine” or just have a "Prozac deficiency."
From the practitioner: What Patients Can Expect
We start with a comprehensive questionnaire which is then evaluated for priority issues during a 60 to 90 minute intake consultation. A baseline functional medicine blood/urine panel is done, followed by an in-depth explanation of the laboratory results and the desired reference ranges for healthy, optimized patients, (not what the lab considers "within normal range"). A strategy to optimize all parameters is then developed with suggestions for lifestyle/diet changes, adding nutraceuticals and/or natural hormones if necessary.
