From the practitioner: About My Practice
I am a conventionally trained family nurse practitioner through Georgetown University. I have advanced training through the Institute of Functional Medicine and currently and am a candidate for board certification. I found my passion for Functional Medicine after walking thru my own wellness journey. For many years, I sought answers that didn’t readily come and eventually was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. I am dedicated and passionate about finding the root cause of disease and achieving optimal wellness in all those that come to me for treatment.
From the practitioner: What Patients Can Expect
We partner with you to help you achieve your health goals and are there with you every step of the way. Expect to spend 1.5-2.5 hours at the office for your initial visit, including check-out time. You will spend 60-90 minutes face-to-face with Michelle. The consult fee includes time spent before and after your visit for Michelle to review any past lab work and all paperwork including intake forms. Follow-up visits usually last 30-60 minutes depending on complexity and time to review lab work.
