The Candidate Resource Center supports approved IFM Functional Medicine Certification Program (IFMCP) candidates, as well as Certified Practitioners intending to re-test. An approved candidate is someone who has completed an IFMCP application, submitted the application materials, and received notification of acceptance into IFMCP.

Upcoming Testing Dates

APRIL 2024 EXAM: IMPORTANT DATES/DEADLINES
  • October 2, 2023: First cohort newsletter and case report template available for purchase ($850 fee). Access to the Testing Resource Center (TRC) is granted which houses an array of resources for both your case and written examination.
  • January 12, 2024: Deadline to purchase your case report template to be eligible for the April 2024 testing cohort.
  • January 19, 2024: Deadline for the completion of your IFMCP courses, submission of your case report, approval into IFMCP, submission of the IFMCP Written Exam Form (including the $850 written exam fee), and a copy of your current healthcare license. See TRC for details.
  • January 26, 2024: Registration begins through Prometric Testing Centers for the written exam for approved candidates.
  • March 29 – April 8, 2024: IFMCP test opens through Prometric Testing Centers.
  • May 6, 2024: Candidates are notified of their written exam and case reports results.
NOVEMBER 2024 EXAM: IMPORTANT DATES/DEADLINES

  • August 23, 2024: Deadline to purchase your case report template to be eligible for the November 2024 testing cohort.
  • August 30, 2024Deadline for the completion of your IFMCP courses, submission of your case report, approval into IFMCP, submission of the IFMCP Written Exam Form (including the $850 written exam fee), and a copy of your current healthcare license. See TRC for details.
  • September 6, 2024: Registration begins through Prometric Testing Centers for the written exam for approved candidates.
  • November 1 – 11, 2024: IFMCP test opens through Prometric Testing Centers.
  • December 16, 2024: Candidates are notified of their written exam and case reports results.

Please note: Written Exam testing dates typically occur in April and November of each year. Before scheduling a testing date, IFMCP candidates must meet the requirements #1–4 (found here) by a predetermined date, which is announced several months ahead of the Written Exam.

IFMCP Testing Resources

The IFMCP Testing Cohort Forum allows candidates to organize study groups, network with your peers, and ask general questions about the testing process. It is monitored by IFM’s Medical Education team and it allows for clinical question as you prepare for the Written Exam.

In addition, IFMCP candidates who are preparing to submit a Case Report and sit for the Written Exam have access to IFM’s Testing Resource Center (TRC), which includes a comprehensive library of all IFMCP-related forms and publications, a case study tool, the study guide, and archived webinars.

Candidates will receive access to the Testing Cohort Forum and the TRC as they get closer to completing the Written Exam and submitting the Case Report.
